5 Modern Quilting Kits for Everyone

The internet is a great place for quilters to mingle and share ideas. With the increasing popularity of quilting, more modern trends have started to emerge. While many quilters still enjoy more traditional and classic designs, the market is expanding to provide contemporary challenges to meet current design trends.

Modern quilts tend to have their own unique traits. High contrast and straight lines are common, and the proliferation of pre-cut fabrics has encouraged their use and creativity of design to showcase them. Pre-cut fabrics take the guesswork out of determining if fabric prints coordinate, and has made quilting quicker and more error-proof thanks to perfect cuts. While not all modern quilting kits use pre-cut fabrics, the ones that do usually list the cuts they use. Moda Bake Shop has different types of pre-cut fabric that have been extensively used for patterns and kits and started the trend.

There are plenty of patterns and kits for quilters looking for a more modern design for every skill level.
